Neil Malamuth & Mark Huppin researched how the laws on child pornography affect the research evidence on the topic of virtual child pornography. They researched more specifically The Legal Landscape surrounding Ashcroft v. Free Speech Coalition, Child Pornography, Legal, Nonconsenting, and other Adult Pornography, and A New Approach to Virtual Child Pornography. They highlight the Child Pornography Prevention Act (“CPPA”), Government press releases that speak about child pornography exploitation, the science of child pornography, and the statistics process in relation to the law.
